Sadly, the original owner and maintainer of the LinxNet Web Index passed away on Sunday, August 23, 1999 :-(. Dale was a close friend and colleague. He has been, and will continue to be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The original intent was to keep the LinxNet Web Index going--perhaps more to honor a valued friend than for any other reason. It seemed a shame to let all of his hard work just... go away. But several factors contributed to making that impossible. Until now.

What you presently see at the LinxNet Web Index is pretty much as it was left by its original creator--except for some minor edits to accommodate getting it re-published, replacing the "mailto:" URLs with a feedback form (anti-spam measure) and, of course, this update. No doubt much of the content and many of the links are out-of-date. It is unknown at the moment how much time will be available to bring the site up-to-date, much less for on-going maintenance. However, if you spot something that really, really needs fixing, please use the Feedback Form.

Got www.LinxNet.com back up again after over a year.
Fixed search function.
Added "Site News" page.

Fixed "Television" and "Government" sections (badly broken during port to new site)
Started work on correcting where possible, or removing where not, bad external links. There are a lot of them.

Finished correcting, removing or commenting bad external links to sites starting with "a" through "m" (not including those starting with "www.")

Corrected, removed or commented bad external links to sites starting with "n" through "z" (exclusive of those starting with "www.")
